SO this whole prayer blogging thing for "The Compass" is really awkward for me and I DO NOT want to go first…but I figure if I don't post this now then I never will haha. And I'm not really sure what to post it under. Oh well here goes…
God,
I pray that You would give our team a spirit of unity. I pray that everyone will serve You to the best of his or her abilities so that we can be an accurate representation of the healthy, functioning, effective Body of Christ. (We'll never reach our full potential if one part is "unhealthy"!) Let us be willing to truly listen to each other and take everyone's input into consideration. Help us forgive and compromise when arguments come. Help us remember to allow for mistakes and be open to correction. Bring us together with Your love, God; help us feel free to share with each other. I pray that we would all stand strong and remain close to You and Your Word–before and during the trip. Guard our hearts and minds; keep us united by reminding us of where our focus needs to be. We can only be a strong team if we're one with You! Fill us with Your love so that we can't help but overflow with love each other and the desire to reach Scotland with that love. Knit us together with the desire that You have put in each of our hearts to touch these people. Hold us together by Your strength when things get tough. Remind us all to run to You and bond with and trust each other rather than allowing obstacles to drive us apart. We are Your servants to do as You will. I pray that we would build each other up. "As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another." Proverbs 27:17…To You be all the glory!!
