Hey there blog followers!! Just dropping in to give you all an update from training camp!  I'll give you a brief breakdown of what has been going on over the past few days!!

Camp Arrival
The last blog showed a few pictures of the first day of camp.  We had a "welcome to camp" and worship session at night and spent some time getting to know each other as a team.  We got together and formed our team flag and team name.  Each of the kids contributed a little part of themselves and their creativity to the flag.  As all of them would tell you- It was awesome!  Our team name is: The Scottish Penguins!!No, I don't think penguins have anything to do with Scotland, but the name definitely reflects our creativitiy as a team! We are outside-of-the-box thinkers for sure and we know how to have fun! smiley

Playing games as a Team during Free Time:

A Typical Day at Camp
I know sometimes you may be thinking, "I wonder what the teams are doing right now at camp?"  Well that is where I come in!  A typical day at camp goes something like this:  Teams must report at 7:10am to the main building for team prayer and breakfast.  Each morning from 8-9 we have quiet time with the Lord and reflect on that time as a team.  From 9-12 we have team time, worship, and information/training sessions.  From 12-1 we have lunch, followed by team building excersizes (which I will tell you more about about tomorrow!).  We typically get some free time in the afternoon (4-5ish) followed by team defrief and dinner at 6pm.  From 7-8 we get another hour of free time for showers and personal reflection and end the night with worship and teachings from AIM staff and guest speakers, followed by team time to debrief the day.  We do our best to get in bed by 10:30.

Each team is responsible to help with cooking and doing dishes at least once during camp.  This could be a time for complaining–but not for our team!! The Scottish Penguins know how to make the best of every situation!  They truly have great attitudes and are enjoying every minute of camp.

How you can be praying for our team:
First and foremost, please as always be praying for our safety and health.  We will be leaving in just a few days and traveling through the night on Monday.  Our plane leaves in the evening, so if you could join us in spirit through prayer for our travels that would be awesome!!   Please, also pray for team unity and humility. We know you are praying for us already, and they are felt by us here.

Here are some more pictures for you of the team enjoying themselves at Camp!
